Imagine if it was you. That you were hungry and cold and tired. That you had no place to call home. Bring in cans to help support the Downtown Mission in their quest to feed the hungry, because you would want the same.

October Student of the Month

This month we are proud to recognize two individuals that have demonstrated a tremendous amount of perseverance and dedication over the past few months, despite many challenges before them.

Our first recipient knows time management! He juggles a very hectic schedule that includes being a member of the soccer and volleyball team, working with his aunt some evenings and weekends, and consistently completing his school work. This young man arrives ready to contribute to his school and in the process makes Dougall better! Congratulations Blessing Blessing!

Our next recipient inspires all of us to try harder, be kinder and never give up! She eagerly tackles every challenge head on and goes out of her way to seek clarification and feedback that will help her school work. In the gymnasiam she has worked tirelessly to improve her volleyball skills and is now a member of the senior girls team! Congratulations Tee Tee on a wonderful start to the year!

Discovering Pi

Student of the Month

Today I am pleased to present our first Student of the Month to two incredibly respectful, caring and trustworthy citizens. Both have shown a profound willingness to work collaboratively on problem solving activities and group challenges within tight time lines. Some of their success early on can be attributed to a willingness to were whatever "hat" is required to get the job done. From leader to encourager, these two are a welcome addition to any group and have been  cornerstones in our classroom. Congratulations Sarah Burk and Alexander Tran!
