From Lonely Planet to Sardine Can

Today in Geography, the grade 8 class used a 40m square to represent the population density for some of our world's densest countries. Population density can be found by dividing a population (country or region) by the land area in which they live.

What would Windsor be like if our population density quadrupled?

  1. Right now, our population density is about 1747 people per Km², quadrupled, that's approximately 6989 people per Km squared. That would give each person a total of 143 M² of free space, a very high contrast from the current 572 M² of space per person. Lrt's just say, if the population density quadrupled, I would be quite sad faced at the amount of people on Ouellette Ave. messing up my Saturday evenings.
