Thank You!

Over the past few years I have had the distinct honour of teaching a dynamic, diverse, dedicated and fun-loving group of students. Each one of you with a personality all your own, each one of you contributing a portion to the chemistry that made you such an enjoyable group to be around. Throughout our time together you have grown both personally and as a group as you navigated the challenging times life sometimes throws your way. You have learned from, leaned on and supported one another, truly exemplifying the quote by William Shakespeare:
“A friend is one that knows you as you are, understands where you have been, accepts what you have become, and still, gently allows you to grow.”

Thanks for the fond memories!

Charity Soccer Classic & BBQ Hot Dog Lunch

Wednesday June 26th, Dougall students were treated to a fun-filled day. All day students were able to engage in their choice of games including washer toss, ring toss, board games, Just Dance 2, etc. with refreshments such as freezies and an assorted variety of beverages. Those in grades 5-8 could also play throughout the day in a day-long soccer tournament consisting of consecutive matches to find the soccer champion. At noon, students enjoyed a barbecue hot-dog lunch with chips and a drink, afterwards continuing with the aforementioned activities on their whim. All proceeds were donated to charity, and in the end we were able to raise nearly $750 in profit. Way to go Dragons!

BBQ Lunch/Soccer Tournament

On Wednesday June 26th, Dougall will be having a Hot Dog Day (100% Halal Beef) and Charity Soccer Tournament in Bruce Park. Forms for both events went home today and will also be available on Monday.

We are looking for grade 8's and former Dougall students to help with this worthy cause. Please let Mr. Seal know if you are interested in helping out by responding to this post or through twitter.

Thanks and enjoy your weekend.
